The Lady Norse had another conference matchup on Saturday March, 23
rd against NOC Tonkawa. The Lady Norse had a hard fought game one, coming up short in the extra inning game, losing 9-10. Despite the loss the Lady Norse out hit the Mavs with 11 hits. Sophomore shortstop
Hadley Calico went a perfect five-for five at the plate with 4 singles and a double, three RBI's, and a stolen base. Bandel, Davidson, Iott, Norton, Pratt, Tune, and Wade all tacked on a hit a piece, Davidson's being a two run homerun in the fifth inning. The Lady Norse swiped five bags, and they walked seven times.
Lillie Johnson pitched 7 innings, giving up nine hits, nine runs (8 earned), three walks, and five strikeouts. The Lady Norse had 0 errors in the field.
Game two went a little differently with a 10-6 win for the Lady Norse. A single by
Corissa Bandel put NEO on the board in the top of the first. Followed by a RBI double from
Destiny Tune in the second inning to score
Sydney Price (walked). NEO had a big four run third inning, scoring
Madison Pratt,
Corissa Bandel,
Camille Davidson, and
Skyler Wade with a walk three singles, and a double. The Lady Norse did it again in the sixth and scored another four runs to ensure the win, scoring
Emily Carpenter,
Hadley Calico, Madi Norton, and big two-run homerun by
Kayley Iott.
Hadley Calico led again in hitting with three hits in four at bats. Bandel, Davidson, Price, Tune each had two hits, Iott, Pratt, and Wade had a hit a piece. NEO took seven walks during game two. Freshman righty
Corissa Bandel pitched the entirety of game two, going seven innings, giving up six runs (3 earned) on nine hits, with two walks and six strikeouts.
