Championship Saturday! Norsemen Gain Finals Matchup VS. Connors State With Win Over Aggies

The 18th ranked NEO Golden Norsemen overcame a 1 point halftime deficit Friday night in the NJCAA Region II Tournament Semifinals to beat the Murray State Aggies by a score of 72-59. The win puts NEO in the title game at 4:00pm today where they will face Connors State. The two teams split their regular season games, NEO with a buzzer beating three in the last second in Miami, and Connors with an overtime win at their place a couple weeks ago. The Norsemen enter the championship game 27-4 while Connors comes in 30-2.

Expect a packed house this afternoon at Rougher Village Arena in Muskogee, OK. Not only a Region II title is on the line, but a coveted spot in the National Cahmpionship Tournament in Hutchinson, KS. If you are unable to make the game in person it will be streamed live at the link below.
