The Norsemen faced the Mountaineers on the road on Wednesday September 27th. The Mountaineers drew a penalty kick and opened with the first goal in the 30th minute of play.

Ignacio Mate evened the score 1-1 which was Mate's first goal of his collegiate career. The Norsemen put in a great defensive second half but fell short when the Mountaineers equalized in the 75th minute from a shot 15 yards from goal.
Davide Marzoli coming off his National Goal Keeper of the week honors had 12 shots on goal against and 10 saves. The Norsemen look to bounce back on Monday October 2nd in a nonconference matchup against Mid America Christian in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
