With three different players getting in on the scoring, NEO toppled Northern Arkansas 3-0 in Harrison, AR.
NEO showed the majority of the offensive possession from the onset of the game. While many quality attacks took place in the opening minutes, the Norsemen were unable to fin the back of the net until the closing minutes of the first half.
Paul Bergemann followed up a set piece for a tap in goal. The second half would go in a similar manner to the first half. NEO would control the majority of the offense, but would struggle find the net. After multiple near misses,
Jacob Woods found the net off a cross from
Andrew Taylor with 21 minutes remaining in the match. NEO kept up the pressure for the reminder of the match. That pressure would create one more goal for NEO. With about 9 minutes remaining
Saymon Boeno would score the final goal of match, again assisted by
Andrew Taylor.
NEO will start conference play on Sunday September 11th as they travel to Tonkawa Oklahoma to take on NOC.
