September 25^th NEO Men's soccer team traveled to Coffeyville, KS to take on the nationally ranked Red Ravens.
In a hard fought game NEO allowed only one goal. With much of the offense going in favor of Coffeyville, NEO was able to hold the Raven's out of the net until the final 4 minutes of the first half. The second half of play was scoreless resulting in a 1-0 loss for the Norsemen.
Notable defenders in Saturday's match include Danilo Camilo, Christian Castillo, Vicente Matta, Sergio Gonsales, and Santos Sanches. Edgar Fraire manned the net for NEO.
"Any loss is a tough loss, but our team found a new level of competitiveness today. It has been a tough season so far, but our back line just played the best game they have played all season, and our offense was more creative in their attack than we have seen in a while. If we find a way to maintain this level of play in our second trip through our conference schedule, good things will come our way", commented head coach John Parrigon.
