On October 3^rd.NEO Soccer hosted the Nighthawks of National Park College at Red Robertson Field.
The match started at a slow pace. National Park sat back in a defensive formation waiting for NEO to make a mistake in possession. NEO was patient in going forward in the early going. This set up a standoff testing the patients of each team as the two sides waited for the other to push forward. The stalemate was broken in the 18^th minute when Victor Rodriguez made a run down the left side. Victor played a cross to Harry Sargent who finished a one touch shot to the back of the net. NEO would control the rest of the half without successfully finishing a shot taking a 1-0 lead to halftime. 
The second half started in similar fashion as the first; however, NEO would strike more quickly this half. Just seven minutes into the half Victor Mos Romera scored off a misplayed header by NPC's back line. Romera scooped up the errant ball and hit a 20 yard shot to add to NEO's lead. Down two, National Park pushed their offensive game a bit more and scored in the 60^th minute. For almost 10 minutes, it looked like the Nighthawks were going to push to even up the game. NEO weathered the storm however and held them to the lone goal.
From the 70^th minute on the game was all NEO. The Norsemen created several attacks as the clock ran down, but it was not until the final minutes that NEO put the game away. At the 86 minute mark Lukas Erstad put the Norsemen up 3-1 with a well-placed shot from 16 yards out. In the final minute Dembe Lubowa made a run down the left side and played a cross into the box. Sergio Gonzalez came up with the ball and tucked it away into the corner of the goal to make the final score 4-1 for NEO.
