Lady Norse Shutout Carl Albert

Behind the strong pitching performances of Bailey Fowler and Mary Collins, the Lady Norse won twice against conference foe Carl Albert, both in shutout fashion.  Fowler threw a complete game shutout in the run rule shortened first game.  She finished the 11-0 five inning affair with 3 strikeouts while allowing only two hits.  NEO pounded out 13 hits in 4 offensive innings, including home runs by Makayla Bowman, Hannah Burnett, and Britton Clark.  Mary Collins and Mikaela Workman each finished a perfect 3-3 for the game.

Collins continued the stellar pitching taking the ball in game two of the doubleheader, completing the second shutout of the day.  She finished with 5 strikeouts while only allowing 7 hits.  Fowler finished game two 3-3 at the plate, Collins was 2-3, and Nikki Dingle finished 1-2 with an RBI.

Next up for the Lady Norse is a doubleheader Thursday evening on the road vs Connors State in Warner, Oklahoma.  First Pitch is scheduled for 5:00pm.
