After sweeping four from Arkansas Baptist the Norse travel North to KC to take on Metropolitan Community College (formally Maplewoods) in a non-conference double header ... this will make 6 games in 3 days for the Norsemen ...
"This was a bit of tough scheduling", according to Head Coach
Roger Ward ... "We found ourselves trying to incorporate another 2 games vs Ark Bap when they came back into the league after our 2019 Spring Schedule had already been completed. Playing a an extra double header at home made sense but created a difficult 6 game 3 day pitching match up. We won 5 of 6 because we pitched so well getting 4 complete games out of Bramlage, Jones, Blom and Garrett. This gave us a chance to compete well but still very challenging and we had
Colton Tyler strain something just before game two at MCC today. With "The Border Battle" coming up on Tuesday vs Crowder we had no real contingency plan in place when Colton went down. The guys competed hard and still gave us a chance to win the game but we fell short." "I am very proud of how the guys have responded over the past 2 weeks and we are looking forward to continued improvement in the final 3 conference series still remaining against Conners, Seminole and Rose State."
