The frustration continues for Norsemen soccer. In a season marked by several several improbable loses, Thursdays game against Crowder was more of the same.

Early on Crowder possessed the ball well while NEO tried to catch up. 20 minutes in, the momentum shifted. As NEO was establishing their selves in the game Andre Rui dribbled the sideline and played a cross to the back side. Draye Richey was in position to receive the cross, but was taken down on his way to the ball. Dylan Galhardo converted the resulting penalty kick to put the Norsemen up 1-0. The Norsemen controlled the remainder of the half until just 3 minutes remained before the break. At that point Crowder was awarded a corner kick. Crowder played the ball short and quickly placed a shot to the backside of the net, to send the game to halftime tied.

The second half would produce back and forth play early on, without either team showing clear dominance. With just 18 minutes to play Joe Ayton won a long ball out of the air touched it to Draye Richey coming up his side. Draye Richey managed a shot in crowded condition. The shot would find its mark putting the Norsemen up with the clock ticking away. NEO handled the remaining minutes well, winning most 50/50 balls, and keeping possession on their offensive side. With 90 seconds left in the match a foul was called 40 yards out from NEO's goal. On their free kick Crowder sent a long ball into the box where a host of players bunched to fight for the first touch. Crowder was able to get under and tip the ball over NEO's goal keeper to send the game into overtime.

In overtime Crowder scored an improbable goal just 8 seconds in to win the golden goal O.T. and the match.
