A goal late in the match helped the Oklahoma Wesleyan JV claim a 3-2 victory over Northeastern A&M in a men's soccer match Thursday afternoon on the NEO pitch.


Senior forward Adam Nagaty staked the Eagles to a 1-0 lead which stood up through the half. 
Freshman striker Marcius Lima got OWU's second goal just minutes into the second half. 
The Golden Norsemen (3-8) got back-to-back goals to tie the match at 2-2.
Grove freshman Gabriel Rodriguez got NEO's first marker just minutes after Lima had made it 2-0.
Lee McNiell, a sophomore from Clondalkin, Dublin, Ireland, got the equalizer 20 minutes later.
Junior defender Juan Miranda punched in the winning goal late in the match for the Eagles.
The Golden Norsemen are idle until Sept. 28, when they host Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa in a Region 2 match.
