Rough Trip To St. Louis For Soccer

Two teams searching for any offensive consistency collide Sunday as the Northeastern A&M Golden Norsemen entertain the Larks of Hesston (Kan.) College at 4 p.m. on Robertson Field.
Coach John Parrigon's Norsemen played host to Ranger, Texas on Saturday with a 1-5-0 season record before ending a two-game homestand against Hesston. The Golden Norse travel to Neosho, Mo., Tuesday for a 4 p.m. match with the Crowder College Roughriders.
Hesston's Larks are in search of their first victory after seven matches.
Facing St. Louis Community College on the Florissant Valley campus Friday, the Golden Norse sustained a 3-0 shutout at the hands of the Archers.
STLCC received goals from sophomores Jesus Morales, Cullan O'Keefe and Adam Brockhaus, while freshman goaltender Austin Golden collected his first collegiate shutout in their 3-0 win.

Concluding a two-match homestand Sunday, Northeastern A&M's Norse soccer team host Hesston College at 2 p.m. on the synthetic turf of Robertson Field.
Prior to Saturday's match with Ranger, Texas, coach Lisa Bell's Norse had gone four halves without scoring and were 0-6-0 on the season.
Located in Hesston, Kan., the Larks come to Miami with a  3-4-1 season record.
The Norse traveled to St. Louis (Mo.) Community College-Meremac campus on Friday and suffered a 11-0 shutout at the hands of the Archers (6-2-1).
STLCC wasted no time in outperforming their offensive output against SWIC. Sophomore forward Lauren Guerrero opened the Archers' scoring just one minute, 18 seconds into the first half. Guerrero's teammates opened the floodgates from there, as STLCC led 6-0 at half en route to an 11-0 victory.
The Archers were rather diverse in their offensive attacks, with eight different players accounting for the team's 11 goals. Sophomore Jessica Smugala and freshman Emily Costantini each scored twice.
