Box Score TONKAWA - Continuing their march towards the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season title, the 11th ranked Northeastern A&M Lady Norse earned a 13-0 and 4-3 double-header sweep Thursday afternoon over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Lady Mavericks Field.


With the sweep coach Eric Iverson's Lady Norse need on victory in the final four games to win the OCAC title. NEO is 23-1 in the conference and 35-8 overall.
Weather permitting, the Lady Norse travel to Altus Thursday and Friday for a four-game series with the 13th rated Western Oklahoma State College Lady Pioneers. Western stands 40-7 on the season and 20-4 in the OCAC.
The regular season officially ends on Sunday. Pairings for the Women's Division 1 Region 2 Tournament scheduled for May 3-5 at the ASA Hall of Fame Softball Complex in Oklahoma City will be determined Monday during the annual coaches meeting at Connors State college in Warner.
Scoring 13 runs on 15 hits, the Lady Norse shutout the Lady Mavericks 13-0 in the first game. NEO scored a single run in the first inning, two in the fourth, four in the fifth and six in the seventh to seal the rout.
Courtni Clark turned in a 4-for-4 performance at the plate including a double to pace NEO. Maddie Stevenson added a home run and a single while Riley had two singles. Clark, Higgins, Pratt and Stormi Kelley contributed doubles.
Kaitlin Davis (21-3) allowed five hits with four strikeouts in seven innings of work.
In relief of starter Alex Gilley, Davis earned a save by allowing only one hit in 1.1 innings of work. Gilley (13-2) surrendered three runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings of the 4-3 win in the nightcap.
A three-run third inning gave NEO a brief 4-0 lead before the Lady Mavs (4-18 and 15-35) scored a single run in the bottom of the third and two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Clark and Higgins each had three hits to lead the Lady Norse while Stevenson and LaValley added two hits each.
