Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference loss in nine innings to the 13th rated Connors State College Cowboys at Homa Thomas Field.
Weather permitting, the four game series shifts to Warner on Friday for a 6 p.m. nine-inning contest at Biff Thompson Field. If the game is rained out, it will be made up Sunday at 1 p.m. in seven innings as part of a double-header in Warner. The arch rivals are slated to play another nine-inning contest on Saturday in Miami starting at 2 p.m.

Roger Ward's Golden Norse are 24-14 on the season and 6-7 in the OCAC. The Cowboys are 40-6 on the season and 11-2 in the conference.
Connors grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. With one out, Korey Keith was hit by a pitch. Yariel Gonzalez doubled scoring Keith. After an infield single by Philip Diedrick, Gonzalez scored as Victor Claudio reached on a fielder's choice.
NEO tied the score in the bottom of the fourth inning. With one out
Angel Ortiz singled.
Kevin Meyers followed with his second home run of the year to create a 2-2 deadlock.
Eli Roundtree singled and scored on a home run by Jiro Morales to give the Cowboys a 4-2 lead in the top of the seventh inning.
Singles by Keith, Gonzalez and Claudio increased Connors lead to 5-2 in the top of the eighth.
Three unearned runs by the Cowboys in the top of the ninth was highlighted by a two-run homer by Gonzalez.
Gonzalez and Roundtree had three hits each to pace the 11-hit Connors attack.
Ortiz and
Jackson Morris produced two hits each to lead NEO's eight-hit offense.
The Golden Norsemen cruised to a 13-4 romp over the Independence (Kan.) Pirates on Wednesday in a single game at Homa Thomas Field.
After scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning, the Norsemen tacked on a single run in the second, five in the fifth and four in the sixth of a nine-inning game.

Ramon Laureano along with four doubles highlighted NEO's offense.
Jordan Goode led the Norse with three hits while Greg Husnander,
Corey Dodd and Ortiz added two hits each.
