Women's Soccer Has Tough Trip

DALLAS, Texas — Unable to generate any defensive stops, Northeastern A&M's Norse women's soccer team suffered an 11-1 loss Tuesday to Hill College in Dallas at Wallace Park.


While dropping their second consecutive match, coach Lisa Bell's Norse return home Friday for their final home match of the regular season. The 2-10-1 Norse entertain Garden City, Kan., at 4:30 p.m. on Robertson Field. The Broncs are 1-9 on the season.
Two consecutive goals by Tori Little ignited a seven-one run by the Rebels (6-5-1) in the first half.
NEO's lone score came on a goal by Jennifer Cudjoe on an assist by Samantha Snow at the 25:20 juncture in the first 45 minutes.
Hill received back-to-back goals by Kayla Ahenakew and one by Dana Garcia to build a 5-1 margin with 31:30 until intermission.
Ahenakew picked up a hat trick at 32:50 before Olivia Garcia contributed a goal just before the break.
Seven minutes before the end of the match, Little earned her third goal on an assist from Ahenakew. The Rebels also received goals from Ashley Tabor, Ariell Marroquin and Larisa Seqouin in the second half.
