The 1969 Golden Norsemen Football Team completed an
undefeated 10-0 season with a 20-6 victory over Arizona Western in the
13th Shrine Bowl in Savannah, Georgia. This victory gave the Norsemen
the 1969 NJCAA National Championship. This was Coach Chuck
Bowman’s second National Championship as Head Coach of the Golden
Norsemen.
The Norsemen were led by All-American’s Mark Driscoll, Ralph
McGill, Don Cokely and Jon Harrison
Chuck Bowman was also named the 1969 NJCAA National
Coach of the Year
Assistant Coaches were Bob Maxwell, John Tiger, Dick Gwinn,
Don Rominger and Richard Ball
