Entering his Sixth season as Head Coach of the Golden Norsemen Men's Basketball program, Coach Jeremy Jackson has compiled a record of 108-43. Jackson, a resident of Webb City, Mo. resides with his wife Natasha and two children Kameron & Savannah. Originally from Stockton, California Jeremy, began his basketball journey playing under legendary head coach Timothy Dunham at Brookside Christian HS. Coach Jackson continued his education and basketball career at Napa Valley College in Napa, California playing for Head Coaches Mike Girardi and Bruce Chavka. He helped turn the Napa Valley Basketball program around. Jeremy then would go on to play with some traveling professional teams on the west coast and played against various National teams from the Philippines and Mexico.
In Coach Jackson's inaugural campaign as head coach, he led the Golden Norsemen to a record breaking 27-7 season. The win total eclipsed the previous win record (25) by a NEO first year head coach set by Larry Gibson in 1987. The Golden Norsemen also set a first for the Men's Basketball program by becoming the first team in school history to win the regular season Region 2 title and the Region 2 Post-Season Tournament title in the same year. The Region 2 Tournament title qualified the Golden Norsemen for the NJCAA Division 1 Tournament held in Hutchinson, KS.
In Coach Jackson’s second season at the helm of the Golden Norsemen, he led the team to a record of 25-7. The Golden Norsemen went 15-1 in the OCAC, winning back to back conference championships. Even though they finished 2nd in the Region 2 Tournament, the Golden Norse were invited to the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, KS only to be cut short by the Covid-19 Pandemic. Jackson’s third season at the helm of the Golden Norse, led the team to a 14-9 record in a Covid altered season. In 2021-2022 saw the Norse finish 19-11, producing Region 2 player of the year and NJCAA All-American Brian Moore Jr. This past season Coach Jackson eclipsed the 100 win plateau in in his career finishing 23-6 on the season.
Jeremy worked for a health and fitness company in the central valley of California called 24 Hour Fitness from 2001-2008 becoming one of the best salesmen in the company selling over 1 Million Dollars in new club revenue in his career by doing Grand Opening events for the company and working out of a presale trailer in Sacramento California to being the assistant manager and Sales Manager at various clubs in the Sacramento area.
Before being named Head Coach in 2018, Jackson worked 9 years at NEO under Coach Dustin Grover, learning and developing under him Jeremy has flourished as one of the best recruiters in Junior College Athletics. Starting out as a volunteer assistant in 2009 through 2011 while finishing up his bachelor’s degree at Northeastern State University. 2012 Jeremy was given a lot more responsibilities and became heavily involved with recruitment of players and player development, recruiting a multitude of players who have gone on and furthered their careers at the Division 1 NCAA level and the Professional ranks.
Jeremy has helped turn NEO Men's Basketball into a mainstay as one of the top NJCAA Men's Basketball programs in the Country since 2012 going to the finals of the Region 2 tournament 5 times and winning the region & conference 2 times, representing NEO and Region 2 in the National Tournament. In the last 5 years NEO A&M has had 4 NJCAA All-Americans Ravel Moody (2019), Rudi Williams (2020), 2-time All-American Brian Moore Jr. (2021 2022) and Julian Mackey (2023). In his 5 years as head Coach, Jeremy has had 15 of his players go on to play at the D1 level and 11 go to the D2 & NAIA levels. Jeremy has been recognized as 1 of that top 8 Coaches in the Country to work the prestigious Mullens Top 100 Camp for 3 years, also helping with USA Basketball and a wide array of camps and clinics in the United States.
