JENKS — Three sophomore members of the Northeastern A&M Golden Norsemen baseball team have been honored by the National Junior College Athletic Association, according to Region 2 director Mike St. John.

Jake Jewell and outfielder
Ramon Laureano were selected to the Men's Division 1 all-Region 2 team while outfielder
Alex Wise received the nJCAA Gold Glove award.
Jewell (6-3 from Norman) led the Golden Norse with eight saves while compiling a 3-3 record in 26.2 innings of work. He also paced NEO with a 2.36 earned run average with 32 strikeouts and only eight walks in 24 appearances.
Laureano (5-11 from the Dominican Republic) hit a team-leading .439 in 164 at-bats for NEO. He also led the Norsemen with 19 doubles, 13 home runs, 69 runs batted in and 72 total hits. Laureano scored 55 runs while recording 22 stolen bases.
Wise (6-1 from Neosho, Mo.) represented the Golden Norsemen on the Region 2 Gold Glove team after starting 49 games at either shortstop or center-field. He recorded 81 putouts, 12 assists and three errors for a .962 fielding percentage.
